District 80 Annual Speechcraft Workshop

On Friday, 9 December 2011, the District will be bringing you yet another quality class event in the District Annual Speechcraft Workshop.

The Workshop will be conducted by the District’s speechcraft Chair DTM, Richard Sng.

Without a shadow of doubt, speechcraft workshop conducted at club level is one of the most effective means of not only recruiting new members to your club but also
to further enhance the technical abilities of your members as they strive to be even better speakers.

The speechcraft program allows experienced Toastmasters to impart the basics of public speaking to members and non-members alike within the laboratory of a club meeting.

Specifically, the program has several benefits. Participants will not only be introduced to the Toastmasters program, they will also enjoy the camaraderie and fellowship only we Toastmasters of District 80 know how to impart. I am sure you will agree with me that many in our midst were attracted to the Toastmasters program because of a speechcraft session which we may have attended in the past.

Most clubs organize a speechcraft session once a year, there is no reason why you should not have it twice a year. Clubs that conduct the speechcraft program have few membership problems.

The program will also benefit your existing members who may be short on motivation and desire to pursue the Toastmasters program. The speechcraft session will be a timely reminder that they joined Toastmasters for a reason. That reason still exist and persist.
